2009 CrossFit Games

We'll be at the (2009) Games again this year with some Hopper Decks for sale. Look for us at our booth. We'll also be introducing a new product this year:

The Benchmarks is a log book for tracking your progress on the CrossFit Benchmark WODs. It's organized by WOD for easy reference, and the back cover works like a little portable whiteboard. We'll have them at the Games and they'll be available online starting 10 July 2009. You'll be able to find out more at thebenchmarkbook.com soon.

Cheers, The Hopper Deck Team

Steve’s Club

Steve Liberati runs Steve's Club in Camden, NJ. If you haven't heard of it go check out his site. Steve uses his box to provide a safe place for kids to go and train. The kids gain strength, confidence, and a community to support them as they improve their lives. He recently introduced them to The Hopper Deck. He's got some great shots of the kids drawing the cards and executing the workout. Send us your pictures! We'd love to feature you and your Hopper Deck adventures here too.

Paleokits

Steve Liberati has created his own product, The Paleokit, in support of his mission at Steve's Club. Paleokits are paleo-diet snacks you can take with you. Every Paleokit sold raises money for Steve's Club. Find out more at paleokits.org

Agoge Inaugural Hopper Deck Workout

So after spending months in development with the Hopper Deck, we decided it was time to put our own crew to the test. Heres some photos from our Inaugural Hopper Deck workouts here at CrossFit Agoge. We had one lucky person from each class draw from the deck to see what the WOD would be. We couldnt have rigged it any better if we tried (which we didn't). The 6 AM class started the day off with a little joker action:

Here they are after the fact:

The 9AM class didn't have the camera out but they drew one of our favorites:

By the time the 6 PM class rolled in, word had gotten out.

Issac had seen the post the night before and claims he didn't sleep much. John and Kristi wait for the verdict.

And the card is…

Sweet! This one we cooked up in our garage a year ago and are happy to share the pain with the rest of the CF community

Sometimes the hardest thing about the tabata workouts is keeping track of your score. So we just write it down.

Marla just returned to the gym after a six month hiatus. This was her first day back. Her face says it all.

The aftermath, as it should be. Thanks to all our brave guinea pigs. We look forward to many Hopper Deck Days to come.

CrossFit Apex

A few affiliates are using The Hopper Deck to shift the blame for suffering from coach to trainee by having crossfitters draw their own workouts. CrossFit Apex documented theirs with a video.
